Why are there no sightholes in Buteline fittings?

Buteline fittings do not have sightholes as they are not required. The Buteline patented ‘SureFit’ helix design feature aids full engagement of pipe into the fitting and ensures precise positioning, preventing pipe from falling out. Studies have shown that sightholes can potentially weaken the area around them on the clamp ring.
