What size holes should I feed Buteline pipe through timber / wooden framing?

Bored holes and “pipe sleeves” should be large enough to allow free movement of Buteline PB-1 pipe. Below are the suggested minimum hole sizes. Larger holes may be required to ease pipe through if changing direction.

  • For 12mm (Type 15) pipe: Use 17mm drill bit
  • For 15mm (Type 18) pipe: Use 20mm drill bit
  • For 20mm (Type 22) pipe: Use 25mm drill bit
  • For 32mm (Type 28) pipe: Use 32mm drill bit
