Buteline pipe in Australia is extruded from premium grade Polybutene-1 (PB-1), a non-hybrid material specifically developed for use with hot and cold potable water.
Buteline Polybutene-1 pipe can withstand high temperatures and pressures. It is manufactured to meet the exacting Australian and New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 2642, complies with the AS/NZS 4020 Food Grade Standard, and is a proven solution for the conveyance of clean healthy drinking water.
Buteline pipe is manufactured out of Polybutene-1 (PB-1) using equipment designed and built by Buteline's engineering division. The Pipewinder (pictured) automatically cuts quality assurance samples which, in addition with Buteline's laboratory testing, ensures consistent production of high quality pipe that exceed even the most stringent world standards.
Coloured grey, Buteline PB-1 pipe is available in 18mm, 22mm and 28mm sizes, as 5m lengths and 50m coils.
Recycled Water pipe (in lilac colour) and Rainwater pipe (in green colour) are both available in 18mm and 22mm in PB-1, and in 20mm in Polyethylene (PE), as 5m lengths and 50m coils.
