The Palace of the Golden Horses is strategically located in the Mines Resort City, 20 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur city center and 25 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Hotel construction was completed at the end of 1997.

Approximately Rm75,000-00 of Bute-PB was used for hot and cold water plumbing, for the 400 guest rooms and 80 suites ( 21 executive, 37 minister, 20 head of states, 1 host nation and 1 golden). The project took about 3 years from concept to physical completion.
