11 March -- World Plumbing Day
Established by the World Plumbing Council in October 2009 to take place annually from 2010, World Plumbing Day will highlight the important role of the plumbing industry in our everyday world (particularly in the realms of public health via the provision of clean potable water as well as resource conservation). This new annual 'event' will be announced at a press conference in Beijing, China.
Buteline certainly recognizes the importance of plumbing -- after all, without plumbing, people would not have access to clean water or the means of getting rid of wastewater, let alone the luxuries of flushing toilets and new-age showers. In developed countries such as New Zealand, this is often overlooked. Buteline is proud to supply the plumbing trade and support the plumbing industry!
